Las Vegas Strip at night
A QUICK GUIDE TO LAS VEGAS!

Las Vegas — The Entertainment Capital of the World

World-class shows, incredible dining, and non-stop excitement. Here's Cindy's guide to making the most of your Vegas trip!

Getting Around is Easy!

Las Vegas is very walkable along the Strip, though distances can be deceptive — what looks close on a map can be a 20-minute walk in the heat! The Monorail runs along the east side of the Strip and is a great way to hop between casinos. Uber and Lyft are plentiful and affordable. The Deuce bus runs 24 hours along the Strip and is a great budget option. Most major hotels have free trams connecting to neighbours. Pro tip: wear comfortable shoes! You'll be walking far more than you expect, and the casino floors are enormous. Stay hydrated — the desert air is very dry even when it's not hot.

Top Sights & Experiences

The Strip

See

A must-do walk at least once — especially at night when all the lights are blazing. Start at one end and work your way down, popping into the most spectacular hotel lobbies (Bellagio, Venetian, Wynn are all stunning inside).

Bellagio Fountains

See

Free, spectacular, and not to be missed. The fountain show runs every 15–30 minutes and is one of the most impressive free shows in the world. Best viewed from the sidewalk across the street.

Fremont Street Experience

Do

Old Vegas charm with a massive LED canopy overhead. Very different vibe from the Strip — more casual, cheaper drinks, and a great people-watching scene. The zip line is fun too!

Day Trip: Red Rock Canyon

Day Trip

Just 30 minutes from the Strip, Red Rock Canyon is a stunning natural escape. Rent a car or take a tour for a half-day hike or scenic drive through the red sandstone formations.
